My Story
Mitchell Bowman, M.A.Ed., CAS, is a neurodiversity specialist and program leader with over a decade of experience designing inclusive education, transition, and community-based programs for neurodivergent adolescents and adults. He founded Austin Neurodiversity Community Center and previously founded and directed the Greenleaf Neurodiversity Community Center, including its 18+ transition school developed in partnership with Austin ISD under Texas SB 1882, serving more than 150 adults across education, employment, and community life. He is currently working with the Rosedale Foundation and other local organizations to build a coordinated coalition of disability service providers focused on lifelong learning, social connection, and sustainable community infrastructure beyond the "cliff" of time-limited services. As a board member, he brings deep expertise in program development, systems navigation, and creating strengths-based learning communities rooted in dignity, agency, and belonging.
